Rock in the New Year with Phil 'N the Blanks at the Bounti-Fare in Adams. The evening begins at 6:30 with appetizers, then feast on dinner buffet of prime rib, roasted turkey and stuffed sole. Replenish at the midnight breakfast buffet after dancing the night away. Cost is $45 per person and includes champagne toast and party favors.
The dining room will be open for patrons planning an early evening.
Bass Water Grill in Cheshire will be hopping from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. with tunes by spun by a DJ. Dig into the dinner buffet and postmidnight continental breakfast. Cost is $40 per person and includes a midnight champagne toast and party favors. There's limited seating so make your reservations early.
For those looking for just an enjoyable dining experience, Golden Eagle Restaurant in Clarksburg, Red Sauce in North Adams and Sabor in Pittsfield will be open for New Year's Eve. Reservations are required for Golden Eagle, which closes at 10; Red Sauce and Sabor will close at 9, although Sabor's bar will remain open until 1:30 a.m.
Usher out the old year with some smooth, mellow music at Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club. Listen to the Eric Bascom Jazz Trio perform New Year's Eve in the Mansion from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and sip champagne in the Music Room bar. Start off the New Year with a buffet brunch in the Music Room from 9:30 to 2; adult cost is $29.95, children $22.95 and those less than 5 are free.
Cranwell is also offering a holiday a la carte dinner menu now through Jan. 5 from 5 to 11 in the Wyndhurst and Music Room restaurants. Reservations are suggested at 413-637-1364 for Mansion dining. Sloane's Tavern has holiday specials and is open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Start off the New Year right with the Williams Inn's famous First Day brunch from 11 to 2. The breakfast fare includes made-to-order omelets, French toast, smoked seafood, fresh fruit, cheeses, roasts, entrees, vegetables and an array of desserts. Cost is $21 per person, plus tax.
