The highlight of the Court of Honor was the presentation of the Eagle Award to Ryan Alvarez, son of Susan Alvarez of Myrtle St., Adams. The scouts received the following Merit Badges which they must earn in order to advance in their rank:

On the first day of their week, the scouts participated in an Olympic competition which included target shooting, canoe/kayak races, knot tying, archery, and a number of competitive games.
The second day they participated in a Fishing Derby at the DAR State Forest in Goshen. The remaining week their activities included merit badge passing, a class on life saving presented by members of the Adams Ambulance Service, a daily 7 AM swim & calisthenics, more canoeing/kayaking, rock climbing, crafts, outdoor cooking, and tubing.
The meals for the week were prepared by the Troop cooks of over 40 years, Ralph Schwarzer and Tom Keller. They were assisted by Randy Macksey as well as several of the assistant leaders.
