VNA of Northern Berkshire Offers Health Clinics

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Northern Berkshire will offer several public health clinics in the region this month. The clinics include blood pressure and blood sugar screening, medication reviews, heights and weights, and health teaching.

Public health clinics are offered every Tuesday and Thursday at the VNA & Hospice’s new headquarters at 99 Hospital Ave. on the campus of North Adams Regional Hospital from 3 to 4 p.m.

In Adams, clinics will be held at:
  • Columbia Valley, Thursday, May 10, 10 -11 a.m. 
  • Millhouse Apartments, Wednesday, May 16, 10-11 a.m.
  • Adams Council on Aging, Wednesday, May 23, 10-11 a.m.

In North Adams, clinics will be held at:
  • Village East, Tuesday, May 8, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. 
  • St. Joseph’s Court, Wednesday, May 9, 9:30-  10:30 a.m. 
  • Holy Family, Wednesday, May 9, 11 a.m. – noon 
  • The Spitzer Center, Tuesday, May 15, 9 - 11 a.m.

Mystic Schooners Down North Adams

MYSTIC, Conn. -- Jamie Zee went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs Thursday to lead the Schooners to a 12-6 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
 
Chris Diaz went 3-for-4 with a double to lead North Adams' offense.
 
The SteepleCats (1-10) host Bristol, R.I., on Friday at 6:30 at Joe Wolfe Field.
