SHEFFIELD, Mass. — On Saturday Aug. 21 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. join local professional photographer Thad Kubis and walk the town while learning to compose and design images of some of our town's landmarks and buildings.
The outdoor event starts at Dewey Hall. Participants will move from Depot Square, the railroad tracks, Sheffield Green, Bushnell Sage Library, and Center cemetery (off Berkshire School Road).
Bring whichever camera system you are most comfortable with; smartphone, tablets, DSLR's or film based systems. Kubis will be available to help you understand your system and expand your creative eye.
After the creative walk through town participants can hop into out cars and drive a mile south and spend some time photographing the Sheffield Covered bridge.
There is limited space and pre-registration is required.
The suggested donation of $25 is payable by PayPal (deweymemorialhall@gmail.com), Venmo (@MagsMcRae), check (Dewey Memorial Hall), or cash. All Proceeds benefit Dewey Hall.
Payments can be submitted prior to Aug. 21 or the day of the event.

MassDOT Touch a Truck in Lenox
LENOX, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) annonced "Touch-A-Truck" events at Highway district depots across the Commonwealth are being rescheduled.
Due to rain in the forecast, the events will now be held to Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Families can visit MassDOT Highway district depots for the annual Touch-a-Truck event featuring a dump truck, bucket trucks, plows and more. This is a family-friendly event that connects the community with MassDOT workers that keep the Commonwealth's roadways safe and operational year-round. There will be a rain date of Sunday, June 3 in case of inclement weather.
Attendees will be able to interact with the following equipment at all locations:
