Cheshire United Methodists To Hold Harvest Bazaar

CHESHIRE, Mass.— On Saturday, Nov. 20, Cheshire United Methodist Church will hold their annual Harvest Bazaar, Crafts, Bake Sale & Silent Auction in their fellowship hall at 197 Church Street, Cheshire, MA from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
 
At the craft tables, there will be knitted and crocheted items such as scarves and hats.  Among the variety of hand-made holiday ornaments and decorations there will be lighted garlands, wreaths, large and small lighted pot-pourri jars & vases, decorative bottles, a variety of Christmas tree ornaments, pumpkins, coasters, heating pads, clothes hanger holders, hand-made quilts and more.  
 
The bake sale will have a large selection of goodies for your Thanksgiving tables, including a variety of pies, breads, fudge, brownies, cupcakes, an assortment of cookies, jellies, peanut butter bars and more .
 
Also included is a Silent Auction, featuring an assortment of gift cards and items from local merchants, holiday items, decorative items for the home, many theme baskets and a great many miscellaneous items for young and old. Bidding on the silent auction will end at 1:00.
 
Books, cookbooks and videos will also be available for sale.
 
The church donates a percentage of its proceeds from all of its fund raisers to a local charity and, sometimes, to a national disaster.

Hoosac Valley Presents December Concert

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Hoosac Valley announced its annual December Concert, taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hoosac Valley High School Auditorium. 
 
This annual event will showcase the musical talents of students across the district.
 
The evening will feature performances by:
  • Middle School Band, under the direction of Richard Boulger
  • High School Band, under the direction of Amanda Watroba
  • High School Jazz Band, also under the direction of Amanda Watroba
Admission to the concert is free, and all community members are invited to attend and support the district's young performers.
 
During the event, the winner of the annual fuel raffle will be chosen, adding an exciting moment to the night's festivities.
