CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Nomination papers are available for the annual town election to be held on Tuesday, May 31, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Community Center. 

 

There are 11 seats up for election this May, including two three-year terms on the Select Board. One of the seats is currently held by Danielle Luchi and the second is vacant after the resignation of Allen Arnold, who's term would have ended in May. Another vacant seat was filled in a special election in December by Jeffrey Levanos, who will serve out the full term of former board member Ronald Boucher who left in late summer. 

 

Also on the ballot is a one-year term for moderator, currently held by Boucher, and one-year term for tree warden, held by Jeffrey Williams.

 

There will be one three-year seat on the School Committee, currently held by Eric Denette, and a three-year seat on the Northern Berkshire Vocational Regional School Committee (McCann) held by Richard Bernardi.

 

Two other three-year seats are for library trustee, held by Patricia Denault, and Board of Health, held by Michael Rivers. There is also a three-year seat for War Memorial trustee, held by Edward Denault, and two five-year seats on the Planning Board.

 

Nomination papers can be picked up Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon in the town clerk's office at Town Hall. Papers must be returned with signatures to the town clerk's office by Tuesday, April 12.
