Belanger Film Screens Tuesday Evening in Cheshire

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- The Baseball in the Berkshires museum Tuesday evening will offer a free screening of "Belanger: Big Time Ball Player - Small Town Story" at the Cheshire Community Center.
 
The 70-minute film chronicles the career of Pittsfield native Mark Belanger, an eight-time Gold Glove Award winner with the Baltimore Orioles and 1970 World Series champion.
 
The doors open at 6 p.m., and the screening will begin at about 6:30.
 
Tuesday's event will feature special guest Al Belanger, Mark's brother.
 
The screening is being held in conjunction with "Spreading Baseball Across Adams and Cheshire," a special temporary exhibit from Baseball in the Berkshires on display at the Community Center at 117 School St.

Hoosac Valley Presents December Concert

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Hoosac Valley announced its annual December Concert, taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hoosac Valley High School Auditorium. 
 
This annual event will showcase the musical talents of students across the district.
 
The evening will feature performances by:
  • Middle School Band, under the direction of Richard Boulger
  • High School Band, under the direction of Amanda Watroba
  • High School Jazz Band, also under the direction of Amanda Watroba
Admission to the concert is free, and all community members are invited to attend and support the district's young performers.
 
During the event, the winner of the annual fuel raffle will be chosen, adding an exciting moment to the night's festivities.
