Cheshire Annual Census Mailed

CHESHIRE, Mass. — The census is mandated by Massachusetts General Law and is valuable to obtain a current and correct count.  
 
The population is important to the Town to apply for state and federal aid and grants.  The count is also valuable to Hoosac Valley Regional and Northern Berkshire Vocational School Districts.
 
Residents are asked to review, correct if necessary, sign and return to the Town Clerk's office in the provided envelope. Make sure all who reside at the address are who are not listed on the form are added with all pertinent information, this would include dependent children.
 
This form can not be used to register to vote. Any resident may register to vote at the Town Clerk's office or visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth Election Division website and download a registration form.
 
The census returns may be mailed back or  dropped in the drop box located at the Church Street entrance to Town Hall.
 
Anyone that does not receive a census in the mail or has questions concerning the form please call the Town Clerk's office 743-1690 ext. 104 or email townclerk@cheshire-ma.gov.
 
Failure to respond to the census may result in removal from the active voters list.

Hoosac Valley Presents December Concert

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Hoosac Valley announced its annual December Concert, taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hoosac Valley High School Auditorium. 
 
This annual event will showcase the musical talents of students across the district.
 
The evening will feature performances by:
  • Middle School Band, under the direction of Richard Boulger
  • High School Band, under the direction of Amanda Watroba
  • High School Jazz Band, also under the direction of Amanda Watroba
Admission to the concert is free, and all community members are invited to attend and support the district's young performers.
 
During the event, the winner of the annual fuel raffle will be chosen, adding an exciting moment to the night's festivities.
