LENOX, Mass. — The Crane Museum of Papermaking will be making paper on select dates in August at The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum.

The pop up event is free, and no reservations are needed. The exhibit will be open Aug. 9 through Aug. 24, Thursdays, and Fridays, 12:30-4:30 pm and Saturdays, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Join the Crane Museum at one of our pop up museums for hands-on papermaking and an anti-counterfeiting technology demonstration. Watch a film from 1926 showing how paper was made inside the Bay State Mill and see how paper is made today. Crane education staff members will be on hand to explain how the Crane story began during the American Revolutionary War, how the first currency paper contract with the U.S. government was won, and how banknote paper is made today.

There will be a mini gift shop on sight.
