LENOX, Mass. — Prima Music Foundation brings chamber music to the Berkshires with another concert at Ventfort Hall on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 4 pm.

This concert will feature Leonid Sigal on the violin and Anastasia Dedik on the piano performing works by Schubert, Franck, and Stravinsky in a beautiful blend of piano and violin performances.

According to a press release:

Anastasia Dedik, born in St. Petersburg into a family of distinguished musicians, holds degrees and honors from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory, and The Juilliard School. Anastasia’s transformative experience at Oberlin as a female Russian immigrant inspired the creation of the Prima Music Foundation—a non-profit dedicated to nurturing and showcasing talented pianists. Through PMF, Anastasia offers performance opportunities and educational guidance, including master classes with esteemed instructors and the annual Rising Stars Piano Camp in the Berkshires. Anastasia is a founder of Prima Music Academy, which provides excellent music lessons in NYC homes.

Leonid Sigal has enjoyed a multi-faceted career as recitalist, chamber musician, orchestra leader and soloist, as well as conductor. Since early performances he was praised by audiences and critics for his virtuosity and musical sensitivity. The Miami Herald wrote: "He demonstrated what a fine violinist he is, playing passionately and cleanly with a soaring tone"; and the Hartford Courant echoes: "His tone is consistently sweet. He brings a clear sense of phrasing, articulation and effortless virtuosity." And most recently: "The richness of his interpretive voice remains fascinating."
