Mount Greylock Roads to Close For Maintenance

ADAMS, Mass. — Beginning on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, and continuing through Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will close Notch, Summit and Rockwell Roads at Mount Greylock State Reservation to all vehicular, bike and pedestrian traffic to accommodate hazard tree removal work. 
 
Rockwell Road from the Visitor Center to Jones Nose parking area will remain open for visitor access, weather permitting.

Parish of St. John Paul II Hosts Fall Fest & Bazaar

ADAMS, Mass. — The Parish of St. John Paul II is hosting its annual Fall Fest & Bazaar on Sunday, Oct. 11, from 9 to 4 p.m., rain or shine. 
 
The event will be spread out on two floors of Notre Dame School on Maple Street. In the lower ground floor, will be a seasonally decorated hall, with "shops" for fall, Christmas, handmade and country stores. It will also be the location for the chance auction with so many donated items. The kitchen menu will offer an array of American and Polish foods and French meat pies for eat-in or takeout. Nearby will be a baked goods table and raffles.
 
On the first-floor will be the book store and, in the gym, jewelry tables, silent auctions and gift certificate auctions. The Kids Fair will have numerous games with prizes and popcorn.
 
Doors open at 9 a.m.; hot food served starting at 10 a.m.
