ADAMS, Mass. — Are you looking for a Victorian home with historic charm? Then this is the home for you.

Our Friday Front Porch is a weekly feature spotlighting attractive homes for sale in Berkshire County. This week, we are showcasing 32 Summer St.

You can see the house in person this Sunday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an open house.

This 1900 home is 2,497 square feet and has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The house is filled with natural light showcasing the spacious living areas that have hardwood flooring. The front door opens to the living room that features a fireplace for cozy evenings in the winter.

The kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or watch while someone cooks. It has an attached dining room, the perfect place for family meals.

The house has a semi-finished basement with a wet bar included and another room with pantry amenities.

The back yard has semi-views of Mount Greylock and also features a deck space with a retractable awning for meals or a space to enjoy the outside.

The house is on the market for $525,000.

We spoke with Sean Taylor with Moresi Real Estate Partners who is listing the home.

This house has been completely renovated with nothing left undone. From tin ceilings to hardwood floors throughout, heat pumps in most rooms, and Trex decking. The second floor has a redone laundry room with lots of closet space. The bathrooms have been updated as well as the kitchen, electrical. The home is just waiting for a new family to come and enjoy the heavy lifting that's already been done.

What would you say to a buyer trying to imagine their life in this space?

The house is conveniently located including schools, shopping, and cultural amenities all within walking distance. It is maintenance-free living with plenty of room for the family to gather or to have quiet time alone.

What do you love most about this home?

What I love most about the home is it's completely gone through, so other than perhaps changing the color palette everything has been completely updated and it flows with elegance.

Are there any standout design features or recent renovations?

The staircase is really elegant where you can imagine yourself up there for the perfect photo opportunity during prom, wedding, or even family photos.

RambleFest Returns With Weekend of Events

By Sabrina DammsiBerkshires Staff
ADAMS, Mass. — For more than five decades, the RambleFest celebration has grown to become a tradition for many.

The event showcases the strong sense of community that defines Adams while offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy the fall foliage, which is typically near its peak this time of year, said Kate Korzendorfer, member of ProAdams Board of Directors.

The two-day event kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 11, with a free community event from noon to 5 p.m. at the Adams Visitors Center featuring live music, a drumming workshop, a stand-up comedy performance, scenic train rides, a bazaar and kids' fair, and more. In the case of rain, Sunday's celebration will be moved to Oct. 18.

The Pug and John Show will take the stage at noon, followed by a drumming workshop from Tamarack Hollow. Pandemic Relief will conclude the music, playing from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

Families will have plenty to enjoy throughout the day, with children's games and the return of the popular pumpkin painting.

Berkshire Scenic Railway also will take visitors on sightseeing train rides departing from Adams Station, offering a unique way to take in the fall scenery. Those hoping to hop aboard are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as rides often sell out.

Food also will be available from local vendors, including Bezzle's BBQ, La Chalupa y La Enchilada, Dough Boys Pizza, the Adams Lion Club, Squeeze and Sip lemonade, Jaeschke's Orchard's fresh cider and donuts, Italian ice from The Snack Shack, and more.
