Pittsfield Pickleball Tourney to Benefit Berkshire Bounty

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Registration is open for the 3rd annual Fun(D)raising Pickleball Tournament, an event organized by local supporters to benefit Berkshire Bounty, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating regional food insecurity through food rescue and distribution.
The round-robin tournament will take place rain or shine on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Bousquet Sport Club in Pittsfield.
Players can compete in two-person teams across two skill brackets: Beginner/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced. The entry fee is $120 per team, with 100 percent of the proceeds directly funding Berkshire Bounty’s food security operations.
"These types of benefits are gratifying to our organization and show how our community pulls together. We are so thankful," said Berkshire Bounty co-founders Mark Lefenfeld and Jay Weintraub in a joint statement.
The initiative is supported by various local businesses and organizations, including the Gilson Family Foundation, October Mountain Financial Advisors, Argento & Sons Inc., Beacon Bank, and Berkshire Money Management, among others.
