Turners Falls Softball Stops Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Madi Limatainen struck out 16 in the circle and tripled at the plate Thursday to lead the Turners Falls softball team to an 11-5 win over Wahconah.
 
Limatainen, who had two hits, recorded one of four three-baggers for the Thunder.
 
Wahconah also had a couple of triples in its nine-hit attack.
 
Sammie Kaley went 3-for-3 with a triple, and Dani Barry was 3-for-4 with a triple and a double.
 
Limatainen stranded nine base runners, including in the sixth, when she got a strikeout to leave the bases loaded without allowing a run.
 
Marlee Arnhold handled the pitching for Wahconah, striking out nine and surrendering seven earned runs.
 
Wahconah (2-3) goes to Drury on Friday.
