Hornets' Howland Hits Eight 3s in Win over Mount Everett

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jacob Howland hit eight 3-pointers and scored 29 points Thursday to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to a 53-49 win over Mount Everett..
 
Walter Mazza scored 12, and Eric Rougeau added nine for the Hornets in their second straight win.
 
“Great defensive game today,” McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. “It was back and forth the whole way, and I’m proud of the guys for the way they competed.”
 
Sean Warren scored 16, and Brady Carpenter added 14 for Mount Everett.
 
The Eagles (6-3) host Smith Vocational on Monday.
 
McCann Tech (6-3) is at Gateway on Monday.
