CyberSeniors is offering drop-in technology classes and help for all ages on Wednesdays through March in the Lanesborough Town Hall Community Room, 83 North Main St. The sessions will show how to use different types of tablets, including iPads, Amazon Fire (like Kindles) and Surface Pro.

INTRO TO HANDBUILDING WITH CLAY
Pittsfield | Adams | Clarksburg | Florida | Lanesborough | North Adams, 6 to 8:30pm

This eight-week course provides a supportive environment for both beginners and experienced artists to develop ceramic skills through fundamental handbuilding techniques. Participants will explore slab work, coiling, and mold-making to create a variety of functional and sculptural pieces during the 2.5-hour weekly sessions. All necessary instruction is included to help students expand their creative practice in a communal studio setting.

YOGA WITH RIMA SALA

All-levels yoga class held every Thursday at the Becket Arts Center. Participants will move through a series of poses to build heat, increase flexibility, and improve balance. Modifications will be offered to ensure everyone feels comfortable and challenged.

OPENING RECEPTION WITH GUEST ARTIST MICHELLE MAHER
North Adams, 5 p.m.

Michelle Maher will be showing her watercolor paintings at Gallery North, 9 Eagle St. The exhibit will accompany new work by permanent gallery artists Marilyn Cavallari, Sean McCusker, Barbara Patton, Stephen Dankner, and Carol Shumans.

 

Mahar's current focus is watercolor painting and she has recently begun creating watercolor pet portraits to further challenge herself.
