MCLA PHYSICS LECTURE: DR. JULIANNE POLLARD-LARKIN

The MCLA physics department will host Dr. Julianne Pollard-Larkin Thursday in CSI 121, with a reception preceding the talk at 4pm in the CSI Atrium. Dr. Pollard-Larkin is a Full Professor of Medical Physics and Service Chief of Thoracic Radiation Physics at MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the nation's top-ranked cancer centers. Her talk will weave together cutting-edge research in cancer treatment with her personal journey in science. She will highlight innovations like FLASH ultra-high dose rate radiotherapy and share how her identity, heritage, and upbringing have fueled her career. This talk is free and open to the public.
