MARGARET POLLOCK

Margaret M. Pollock, 96, of Side by Side assisted-living facility at 114 Onota St., formerly of 16 Delancy Ave., died Saturday afternoon at Side by Side. Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 10, 1904, daughter of John and Sarah McNeice McKeever, she graduated from the former Commercial High School and the former Berkshire Business College. She was employed by City Savings Bank in the bank's life insurance department for 44 years. She joined the staff in 1925, was named manager of the department in 1959 and retired in 1969. Mrs. Pollock was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of its Family Society. She was also a member of the Savings Bank Women's Association, the Western Mass. Area Group of SBLI and the Managers' Group of the SBLI Council. She leaves several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret T. McKeever of Pittsfield, and her niece, Miss Irene Gallipeau of Pittsfield. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:15 from the funeral home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
