CATHERINE D. PRATT

Catharine D. Pratt, 90, of 175 Beartown Mountain Road, South Lee, died Friday at home. Born in Hancock on Oct. 23, 1910, daughter of Andrew and Lillian Goff Whitman, she spent her younger years in Hancock and attended Pittsfield High School. She graduated from the former Berkshire Business College in Pittsfield and from the former Northfield Seminary, now Northfield Mount Hermon, in 1928. She moved to Lee in 1934. Mrs. Pratt was a former member of the Berkshire County Association for Retarded Citizens. She and her husband, Robert R. Pratt, were married June 29, 1952. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Richard A. Belcher of Erie, Pa.; two stepsons, Richard F. Pratt of Orlando, Fla., and Robert F. Pratt of Crocker, Mo.; four daughters, Alice I. Viets of Winsted, Conn., Judy C. Galley of Port Vue, Pa., Anne L. Belcher of Pittsfield and Patricia A. Nguyen of Springfield; four stepdaughters, Ruth A. Morse of Lee, Patricia A. Hammer of Scottsdale, Ariz., Marion E. Cianchetta of Everett and Dorothy C. Heath of Great Barrington; 21 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Two sons, Charles H. Belcher Jr. and David B. Belcher, died in 1979 and 1960, respectively.
