Josephine Marie (Erali) Bedini

Mrs. Josephine Marie (Erali) Bedini, 84, of 75 North County Road, Town of Florida, MA, died Thursday, January 11, 2001 at the Sweet Brook Health Care Center in Williamstown, MA where she had been a resident since September of 1998. She was a longtime resident and member of the business community in the Town of Florida, MA. She was the widow of Raffaele Vincent “Charlie” Bedini whom she married July 3, 1937. He died August 26, 1994. She was born in Sherman, Vermont on March 1, 1916 a daughter of the late Louis Erali and Olympia (DePaoli) Erali. She attended schools in Readsboro, VT. In the early 1950’s she managed the Pine Grove Motel, Coffee Shop and Package Store on Route #2 in the Town of Florida, MA with her late husband. They later purchased the business and operated it until their retirement in 1979. Also in the early 1960’s they purchased the Dairy Top on Route #2 in the town of Florida, MA which became well-known for their homemade grinders until 1970 when they sold the business. She was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams, MA. Survivors include (1) Son : Alfred L. Bedini Sr. of Florida, MA (3) Grandchildren: Alfred L. Bedini Jr.of Florida,Ma. Town of Florida, MA Fire Chief Michael L. Bedini and Diana M. Alexander of North Adams, MA (1) Greatgranddaughter: Alexis R. Bedini of Florida, MA (2) Stepgrandchildren: Michal Alexander of Ormond Beach, FL and Travis Alexander of Orundel, Maine. (1) Brother & (1) Sister predeceased her: Leo Balsarini and Pauline Erali. Funeral Services of Josephine Marie (Erali) Bedini will take place Monday at 9:45 A.M. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA. Calling Hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA, are Sunday, from 4-8 P.M. Memorial donations are suggested for the Town of Florida, MA Vol. Fire Dept. or to the North Adams Adult Day Care Center through the funeral home.
