Louise F. Kubik

Louise F. Kubik, 82, of 39 Dresser Ave., Great Barrington, died Saturday at Fairview Hospital. She was born in Housatonic on July 8,1918 daughter of the late John and Bronislawa Bembenek Kubik. She attended the former Searles High School and worked for many years at the former Great Barrington Manufacturing Company as a sewing machine operator till her retirement in 1983.She enjoyed crochetting, collecting cook books and jewelry and going to tag sales. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church and is survived by 2 sisters Helen Haczynski of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Christine 'Tina' Korte of Great Barrington, and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by 4 brothers Joseph, Edmund ,Stanley ,Frederick ,and 1 sister Sophie Gleize. The funeral for Louise F. Kubik,82, who died Saturday, January 20, will be Tuesday January 23 at 9 AM the HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME to be followed by the Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter's Church with Rev. Willlam Wallis officiating at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive family and friends Monday, January 22nd from 4-7 PM. Expressions of sympathy in Louise's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
