Agnes B. Gennari

Agnes B. Gennari, 83, formerly of West Stockbridge, died yesterday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield. Agnes, or Enus as family and friends knew her, was born in West Stockbridge on November 15, 1917, as the daughter of John and Angela Bondini Angelini. One of twelve children. Enus attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of West Stockbridge. Enus spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring for her family, but at times was employed in the community at various businesses, including A.W. Baldwin and Barlett Orchards. She was a communicant of St. Patricks, where she was active as a member of the Rosary and Altar Sodality and along with her husband, Albert, chaired the annual bazaar for several years. During her years as a homemaker and mother, Enus participated as a volunteer in the Cub Scouts and 4H. She enjoyed her family, gardening, quilting, and crafts. Enus was married for 56 years to Albert B. Gennari, who died on March 26, 1997. She leaves her daughter, Carol Scarfoni, of Pittsfield, her son, John Gennari od Westerville, Ohio and was predeceased by another daughter, Lorraine Dery, in November 1994; a brother Joseph Angelini of West Stockbridge; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Agnes Gennari, who died Monday, January 22, 2001, will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge, with the Reverend Steven F. McGuigan, administrator officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may attend the Funeral Mass, as no calling hours are planned. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Agnes may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association of Hospice Care in the Berkshires, in care of Hickey-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
