Gladys Dilk

Gladys Dilk, 88, of 17 Pleasant St. died Tuesday at Willowood of North Adams Health Care Center. Born in Adams on Jan. 6, 1913, daughter of Peter and Mary Bachenske Martin, she attended Adams grammar schools and graduated from Drury High School. She was employed by the former L.L. Brown Paper Co. for several years until her marriage to Joseph Dilk on July 4, 1942, when she then became a homemaker. She later attended the Charles H. McCann Technical School to become a dental technician, and graduated first in her class. Her husband died Aug. 11, 1970. She leaves two sons, Jhoram Dilk of Fulton, N.Y., and Joseph Dilk Jr. of Brisbane, Australia; a daughter, Ellen A. Talbooms of Grand Junction, Colo.; a sister, Roma Lanier of Adams, and six grandchildren. Services for Gladys Dilk will be private. Burial will take place at a later date to be announced in Maple Street Cemetery, Adams. There are no calling hours. The TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements
