Frank Aulisio, Jr., 84

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mr. Frank Aulisio, Jr., 84, of Adams, died Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield in the arms of his beloved wife, daughters, granddaughters and son-in-law. He was born in Pittsfield on September 17, 1938, a son of the late Frank and Josephine (Russo) Aulisio. He attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School, where he played on the football team, with the Class of 1956. Frank served with the US Air Force from 1956 until his Honorable Discharge as an Airman Second Class in 1960. He later served with the Air Force Reserve for several years, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Frank worked for General Electric Co. in Pittsfield, and for their successor, Lockheed Martin, for 30 years until retiring as a quality control inspector in 1993. Earlier, he had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams. Frank was a truly devoted family man and doting grandpa who enjoyed golf, cards, motorcycles and cars, singing, hunting, comedy and sharing his love of astronomy. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Edna F. Banas, whom he married on September 29, 1962; two daughters, Debra Mahar and her husband, David, of Hoosick Falls, NY and Becky Aulisio of Guerneville, CA; two grandchildren, Megan and Aubrey Mahar; three brothers, John Aulisio, Gennaro Aulisio and Angelo Aulisio, all of Pittsfield; three sisters, Rosemary Cafasso of San Diego, CA; Leonita Roberto of Paso Robles, CA and Amy Whitmire of Tampa, FL; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and Gerald Aulisio, and by his stepmother, Clara Aulisio. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11th at 10:00 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Monday, Oct. 10th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. The family politely requests everyone attending the services wear a face covering. Edna Debbie Becky & Grandchildren, So very sorry for your loss. My family had a wonderful friendship with Frank & Edna for 60 years. So many wonderful memories of a lot of fun and laughs.
