William Voltoline

William D. Voltoline, 50, of 37 Harding St. died Wednesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 23, 1951, son of Constance Phelps Voltoline and the late Joseph J. Voltoline, he was a 1968 graduate of St. Joseph's High School. He was employed as a machinist with the former GE ordnance systems. He became a master machinist after continuing his education and in 1998 was hired by Data Flute as a machinist. Mr. Voltoline was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church. He served with the National Guard and was a gifted furniture maker. Besides his mother, he leaves his wife, the former KathyAnn Wannamaker, whom he married Feb. 19, 1978; a daughter, Alyson L. Voltoline of Pittsfield; two sons, Joseph C. Voltoline of Pittsfield and Jason R. Sullivan of Lanesboro; two brothers, Francis Voltoline of Debary, Fla., and John J. Voltoline of Connecticut; a sister, Mary Eastland of Alvin, Texas; and one grandson. He was the 'Proud Grampa" of Isaac N. Voltoline and the beloved brother-in-law of Lisa L. Wannamaker, John Wannamaker and Mark D. Wannamaker. Calling hours at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be Sunday from 2 to 5. Funeral services will be Monday at 9:15 from the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. The Ladies' Guild will meet Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Isaac N. Voltoline Educational Fund in care of the funeral home.
