Katherine Ellery

Katherine Ellery, 60, of Clifford Street died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center after suffering a heart attack. Born in Milwaukee on April 14, 1940, daughter of James K. and Anna Sommers Link, she graduated from high school there. She had resided in Pittsfield for several years before moving to Bloomfield, Vt., where she lived for 11 years. She returned to Pittsfield 10 years ago. Mrs. Ellery was a homemaker. While living in Vermont, she was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Stratford, N.H. She and her husband, James Ellery, were married in 1967. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Karl J. Ellery of Pittsfield; four daughters, Rhonda Bigelow and Sheryl Ellery, both of Pittsfield, Elizabeth Kennett of Leavenworth, Kan., and Gesine Dubuc of Bridgewater, Maine, eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. The funeral for Mrs. Katherine Ellery will be conducted at St. Helena's Chapel in New Lenox at a date and time to be announced. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Katherine's memory may be made to the Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation in care of ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
