Raymond J. Paree, 79

ADAMS, Mass. —
Mr. Raymond J. Paree, 79, of Adams, died Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at HCA West Marion Hospital in Ocala, Florida.
He was born in North Adams on June 24, 1945, a son of the late Jeff and Catherine (Kline) Duverney and attended North Adams schools. He had served with Company A of the Massachusetts National Guard at the North Adams Armory for several years.
Ray worked as a heavy equipment operator for Pfizer, Inc. and later for Specialty Minerals Inc. in Adams until retiring after 35 years of service.
He was a member of the Adams Turners, the Stamford Valley Golf Club, and had played in the Adams Softball League in his younger days. He enjoyed golfing, NASCAR racing, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and New York Giants.
He survived his wife of 52 years, the former Mary H. O’Brien, whom he married on August 5, 1972; one son, Shawn Paree and his fiancée, Kris Vanuni, of Adams; one daughter, Kristine Clish and her significant other Tim Lattimore of New York; five grandchildren, Josh Paree, Taylor Paree, Jocelyn Duhamel and her fiancée Kyle, Noah Braman and Silas Clish; one great grandson, Jonah Bentley; one brother, Robert Duverney and his wife Cathy of North Adams, as well as several nieces, nephews, brothers-in law, sisters-in-law and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, William Duverney, and a sister, Deborah Wandrei.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 12 Noon in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will be held in the Spring in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
