She also worked for the North Adams School system and tutored adults in English as a second language. She was a longtime communicant of St. Joachim’s Church in Readsboro, VT. Mary also had a love for gardening, especially flowers which her sister Peggy was able to enjoy from her bedroom window.

Survivors include her sister Eugena “Jeanne” Bourdon (William) of Lee, MA, sister-in-law Rita Havreluk of Wilmington, VT and 9 nieces and 4 nephews, numerous Godchildren and numerous lifelong friends, including many who were former students. She was predeceased by brothers Edmund Havreluk, Anthony Havreluk, Carrol Havreluk Sr. and sisters Catherine Havreluk, Melvina Havreluk and Margaret “Peggy” Havreluk and nieces Abigail and Patrice Havreluk.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at 11:30 AM at St. Joachim Church in Readsboro, VT. A time to visit at church will be from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. My condolences to Mary's family. She was a tough but great teacher. I remember getting my first exposure to classical music in her classes at Greylock Elementary School. She was a sweet person whenever I met her years later in our lives.
