Eugene Lepesqueur, 79

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —
Eugene Raymond Lepesqueur, long time educator and swim coach, passed away on May 29, 2025 as he lived his life, peacefully.
He was a lifelong resident of Williamstown, MA. Seventy-nine years old, Eugene was born in North Adams, MA on June 27, 1945, son of the late Maurice and Ursula (Paparillo) Lepesqueur. He attended schools in Williamstown, including Mount Greylock Regional High School. He graduated from Springfield College with a teaching degree in physical education where he was a member of the varsity swim team. While in college, he spent his summers at Windsor Lake – the Fish Pond as a lifeguard. He taught physical education at Hoosac Valley High School, where he was the coach of the Hoosac Valley Swim Team. Eugene went on to become an Assistant Swim Coach at Williams. Eugene coached and loved scuba diving especially in Bonnaire. Eugene was a true gentleman, kind, sincere, and giving.
Survivors include his partner, Kathleen Toohey Carbone, a brother Paul (Mary) Lepesqueur of Canterbury, NH., and twin nephews, Tom (Justine) Lepesqueur and Ben (Lauralie) Lepesqueur, and many dear friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 26, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home at 521 West Main Street in North Adams. A Catholic Memorial Service will be held at the Sherman Burbank Chapel on June 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery.
