Robert H. Chalmers III, 46

ADAMS, Mass. —Robert H. Chalmers III, 46, of Adams, died Thursday morning, July 17, 2025 at his home, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in North Adams on May 22, 1979, the son of Robert H. Chalmers, Jr. and the late Diane M. (LeSage) Chalmers. He graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the Class of 1997 and graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2001 with his bachelor’s degree.

Bobby worked as the partnership and marketing manager for RacingJunk.com and, with his father, was co-owner and operator of Drive Shafts by DMC. He was also the founder and editor-in-chief of Race Pro Weekly, an online auto racing magazine with a nationwide following. Bobby’s true passion was auto racing of all types. He was a member of the Eastern Motor Sports Press Association and the Mountain Club of Adams. and attended the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams.

He is survived by his father, Robert H. Chalmers, Jr.; his special friend, Meagen Nestle, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams are Tuesday, July 22nd from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New York State Stock Car Association, or to any charity of the donor’s choice, through the funeral home.
