Roger R Benvenuti, 86

ADAMS, Mass. — After a short illness, Roger R Benvenuti, 86, died on July 11, 2025 in Corona, California.
He was born in Adams, Massachusetts on September 10, 1938 to the late Raymond and Pearl (Daldoss) Benvenuti. Roger attended schools in Adams, graduating from Adams Memorial High School in 1956. He was a star athlete earning All Western Massachusetts honors in football and baseball and All American honors in football.
Roger graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a bachelor's degree in Forestry and from North Carolina State University with a master's degree in Wood Technology. After graduation he began a 36-year career in the chemical coatings industry with the Glidden Company, Evans Products Company, Reliance Universal and Akzo Nobel. He retired in January 2000 as the Industrial Coatings Manager of the Southwest U. S. for Akzo Nobel.
During his years living in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Illinois, Oregon and California he was active in organizing and coaching youth sports. He was an avid golfer into his early 80s.
With his high school sweetheart and wife, the former Noella Guerin, he spent his retirement years traveling extensively exploring other cultures. Together they traveled to all seven continents and visited over 100 countries. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who cared deeply about his family. He will be greatly missed.
Roger is survived by his wife, his daughter Lisa Benvenuti (Ruben), son Michael Benvenuti (Carrie), granddaughter Jenna Kilgore (Jesse), grandson Alex Lewis (Bailey) and five of six great grandchildren. A private Celebration of Life was held at the family home in Corona.
