Rebecca A. Tatro, 57

STAMFORD, Vt. —
Mrs. Rebecca A. (Galletly) Tatro, 57, of Stamford, VT, died peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Kodiak Island, Alaska, on March 1, 1968, a daughter of Wayne and Jeri (Dietrich) Galletly. She attended schools in Dalton and graduated from Wahconah Regional High School. She then went on to receive her associate’s degree in visual arts from Berkshire Community College.
Becky worked as the executive assistant to the director of The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Dalton. Becky had a lifelong love for horses and was an accomplished equestrian show jumping up and down the East Coast. She was a member of the Overmeade Farm in Lenox and continued to ride regularly up until 4 years ago. Becky was a compassionate supporter of many organizations, but she was an avid contributor and believer in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
From beautiful beaches to her favorite concerts, and fishing trips that took her out to ocean depths or Great Lake bottoms, Becky was always up for a fabulous trip with her wonderful people. We would often look forward to getting Becky’s travel itinerary, as we never knew where she and Dave would be off to next. What we did know was that it would always bring her so much joy! A few of her favorite trips include Jamaica, Port St. Joe, Hawaii, and Lubec, ME. We never thought we would see the day Becky would become a football fan, but Go Dolphins! She loved her trips to see them play.
We will cherish the girls' weekends we got to share. Whether there were three or thirteen participants, Becky was game for anything! From walks on the beach looking for sea glass or wine on the balcony, it was always a memorable time!
Becky forged countless friendships from childhood and all throughout her life. She will be remembered by them for her brilliant smile, positive attitude and the graceful ability to find the good in almost any situation. Everyone was family to Becky. She loved you all.
Beside her parents of Dalton, she is survived by her husband, David W. Tatro, whom she married on June 20, 2015; her son Kevin Pursell of Dalton; her daughter, Jacqueline Drosehn and her husband Christopher of Brookfield, MA; her stepson Peter Tatro and his wife Mindy of Cheshire; two stepdaughters, Kristin Tatro and her husband Jeffrey Hermanski of Astoria Queens, NYC and Emberley Forde of Austin, TX; two sisters, Beth O’Connor and her husband Christopher of Dalton and Sarah Pudlo and her husband Craig of Dalton; eight grandchildren, Ryleigh, Addalyn, Elliot, Anderson, Kaylee, Kadan, Jayden and Amiracle as well as many nieces and nephews.
At the family’s request, we would appreciate it if you could wear something blue or anything beachy. Please be comfortable and vibing!
The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at 12:00 NOON in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will be private at a later date.
Calling hours are Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
