Howard 'Buzzy' Rennell, 76

POWNAL, Vt. — Howard Emerald "Buzzy”"Rennell Jr. 76 of Pownal died Wednesday, April 30, 202,5 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass.
Howard was born in North Adams, Mass., on Oct. 22, 1948, a son of Howard Emerald Rennell Sr. and Eleanor R. Burdick)Rennell. He graduated with the class of 1966 from Charles McCann Vocational Technical School in North Adams, where he was member of the automotive program.
Howard was employed as an auto body specialist for several businesses in the area. In earlier years, he was co-owner at R.R. Auto Body, Shapiro Chevrolet and Windsor Dodge, and then worked for 21 years for Taylor's Body & Frame Repair and 22 years at McAndrews-King, retiring in July 2017. He had a longtime reputation as being one of best body men in the area.
Buzzy enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime camper at Shady Pines and Peppermint Park Campgrounds. He was a very kind, loving and easy-going man.
His wife, the former Cynthia Pringle, whom he married on Feb. 14, 1986, died March 13, 2020.
Survivors include his children, Stephen Rennell (Julie) of Bennington, Corrie Rennell- Hilchey (Chuck) of North Adams, who was his devoted and loving caregiver, and Aaron Rennell (Jordan) of Clarksburg, Mass.; grandchildren Taylor Rennell, Calli Rennell, Christopher Hilchey (Vanessa), Bella Hilchey, Arianna Albano (Bryan), Austin Rahilly (Jordyn), Mason Rennell, Myles Rennell, Molly Rennell, Maddox Rennell, Maverick Rennell and Nevaeh Dane, and great-grandchildren Callum Hilchey, Caillin Hilchey, Bentley Rahilly, Dawson Albano and Layne Rahilly. Howard also leaves behind sisters Teresa Rysz (Gerald) of Florida, Mass., and Beverly Kilbride of Bennington, and a brother, Bryan Rennell (Marian) of Florida, Mass.; his former wife, Carole Foist of Pownal, several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Winston.
