Karen A. Moyer, 70

CHESHIRE, Mass. —
Mrs. Karen A. Moyer, 70, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on April 12, 1955, daughter of the late Warren and June Cooper Galeucia, she graduated from Wahconah Regional High School with the class of 1973.
For the majority of her career, Karen was employed by Excelsior Processing and Engraving, where she worked as an order entry specialist and dedicated many years of service.
Among many things, she loved arts and crafts--especially sewing and coloring. Karen enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, like baking homemade goodies and dancing with friends. She always appreciated the beauty of nature and could often be found outdoors, tending to her flower garden.
Karen is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence “Larry” Moyer, with whom she recently, on September 8, celebrated her 52nd wedding anniversary. She leaves behind her children, Becky Moyer and her husband, Jody Bedard, and Joseph Moyer and his wife Alison Wortman, as well as her grandchildren, Dylan Bedard and Zeava and Ezra Moyer-Wortman. Karen is also survived by her brothers, Michael and Robert Galeucia, her sisters Mary Eurbin and her husband, Al, and Brenda Hitchcock and her husband, Bob, as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Nancy Galeucia.
Funeral services for Karen will be Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 12noon at the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home in Dalton, 525 Main St, Dalton MA 01226. Burial will be private. The family welcomes all to gather at the funeral home directly prior to the service, from 10am to 12noon.
