Harold "Harry" Ruempler, 81

ADAMS, Mass. —
Harold “Harry” Ruempler, a lifelong lover of music, cars, and community, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the age of 81. Remembered for his easy smile, quick wit, and the steady rhythm he brought to every room—whether behind a drum set or among friends— Harold’s life was one filled with creativity, connection, and joy.
Born on September 12, 1944, Harry grew up in Maywood New Jersey, the son of Carl and Lillian Ruempler. He was the youngest of three children, sharing his early years with his beloved sisters Ruth and Joyce. These roots in Maywood remained a lasting part of him. Life took Harry on many adventures, living in Hackensack New Jersey, then near Albany New York and eventually to Adams, Massachusetts, where he lived for the rest of his days.
From an early age, Harry found his rhythm in music. A talented drummer, he performed in bands that played everywhere from intimate local venues to some of the largest stages in the country. His love of music—old and new—was a constant companion throughout his life.
In addition to music, Harry had a lifelong passion for cars—especially the fast and collectible kind. He loved the energy and craftsmanship of classic automobiles, and in later years could often be found attending car shows, following NASCAR and enjoying with enthusiasm and expertise.
Harry had a gift for friendship and connection. He was known for keeping in touch, never missing a birthday call and always making time for the people he loved.
Harry is survived by his two sons, Carl Ruempler of Florida and Christopher Boyle of Pittsfield Massachusetts and his cherished granddaughter, Lorelai Ruempler of Florida. Lorelai has delighted Harry by following in his musical footsteps as a drummer herself.
His family and friends will remember him not only for his talent and humor but for the steady heartbeat he brought to their lives—a rhythm that will continue in memory and in music.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of North Adams Commons Nursing home, where Harold has resided these past 8 months, for the outstanding care, compassion, and concern they gave Harold in the final phase of his life. In Lieu of flowers please share a donation to your favored charity in Harry’s honor. No immediate service is planned. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
