Bette Ann Lesnick, 71

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  

Mrs. Bette Ann (Elias) Lesnick, 71, of Cheshire, died Sunday morning, January 11, 2026 at her home. She was born in North Adams on May 5, 1954, a daughter of the late Bruno and Gladys (Whipple) Elias, and attended North Adams schools, including C.H. McCann Technical Vocational High School.

Bette last worked at the Berkshire Eagle in Pittsfield. Earlier, she had worked at General Electric Co. and General Dynamics in Pittsfield and had also worked as a teller at several area banks. She attended Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams, and St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. She enjoyed bowling and flower gardening, and loved feeding and caring for birds in her spare time.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Lesnick, a stepson, Thomas Lesnick of Adams; two stepdaughters, Kami Astorino and her husband Aaron of Venice, FL, and Kelly Lesnick of Springfield; her step grandchildren Ashley Lesnick, Jess Levesque -Davis, Kaitlin Astorino, Connor Astorino and Celina Lesnick; two sisters, Barbara Szaban of Granby, MA and Patricia Chapman of Lakeland, FL; her brother, John Elias of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Ray Cote and William Cote

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 20th at 11:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours will be Monday, Jan. 19th from 4 to 6 PM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd.
