NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Arlene (Adriance) Tatro Stiefel, 84 of North Adams, MA died Friday January 16, 2026 at North Adams Commons.

She was born in Pittsfield, MA on April 8, 1941, a daughter of Francis and Eunice (Filkins) Adriance. She attended Pittsfield High School.

Arlene was last employed as a book keeper at Berkshire Armored Car. Before that, she worked at the former Eaton Paper Co. She also worked part time at Price Chopper on Hubbard Ave. in Pittsfield. enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a hardworking woman who was devoted to her family.

She was predeceased by ex husband Delphos Tatro, and two sons, William Tatro and Steven Tatro and her grandson, Delphos J. Tatro III and widowed by the late John Stiefel. Survivors include her son, Delphos J. “Del” Tatro Jr and his wife Carol A, Tatro; her granddaughter, Rebecca A. Tatro and two great grandchildren, Jeremy O’Dell and Ethan Church. She also leaves her sister, Beverly Vrijenhoek; her nieces, Jennifer Vrijenhoek and Ashley Vrijenhoek, her nephew, Derek Vrijenhoek and three grandnieces and one grandnephew.
