Harold R. Felton

Harold R. Felton, 99, formerly of Cliffwood Street, died Monday afternoon at Willowood of Pittsfield where he had resided since July 22, 1999. Born in Lee on April 30,190l. the son of William R. and Hattie Gilmer Felton, he attended schools there. Mr. Felton lived most of his life in Lenox where he was a building contractor for over forty years. He was a member and senior warden of Trinity Church in Lenox, and was one of eleven original members and a past president of the former Lenox Kiwanis Club. He was active in scouting for much of his life and received the Silver Beaver Award for his leadership of Troop 55 in Lenox. He had been a member of Evening Star Masonic Lodge in Lee, the Berkshire Royal Arch Chapter and was a past commander of Knights Masonic Temple in Pittsfield. Mr. Felton also had been a past Building Inspector for the Town of Lenox and was a long-time member of the Lenox Fire Co. and the Alford Brook Club. Mr. Felton is survived by two daughters, Jean F. Richmond of South Glenns Falls, NY. and Ann F. Kennan of Las Vegas, Nevada; and three grandchildren. A private graveside service for Harold R. Felton will be conducted at Mountain View Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Trinity Church in care of the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA. 01240
