William A. Cote, 85

ADAMS, Mass. —  William Alfred Cote, 85 of Adams, MA died Tuesday March 10, 2026 at Berkshire Medical Center.

He was born in North Adams, MA on March 11, 1940, a son of Albanie Benjamin Cote and Doris (LeSage) Cote. He graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School in the class of 1958.

Bill was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for over 25 years as a land surveyor for Berkshire County. He was a communicant of St. John Paul II Parish. He also was a coach in the Gary Superneau Youth Bowling League, a member of Elks (BPOE), Member of the Greylock Community Club. He was also an avid bowler and golfer and was a member of the former North Adams Country Club and Forest Park Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Rose (Segala) Cote whom he married on September 21, 1963 and one daughter, Michele (Richard) Wojtkowski of Richmond, MA and two sons, Steven W. (Sandra) Cote of Conway, SC and Peter L. (Ashley) Cote of North Adams. He also leaves seven grandchildren including Kelsey Richards, Tyler Cote, Ryan Cote, Megan Hillard, Riley Cote, Chase Wojtkowski and Cotey Wojtkowski Hansson; five great grandchildren including Haven Raine Hillard, River Hillard, Kylie Hillard, Karsen Hillard and James Richards; one brother, Paul Cote of North Adams; one sister, Nancy Crouse of Cheshire, MA and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ernest Cote.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Bill Cote will be Tuesday March 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. A calling hour at the funeral home will be held Tuesday morning March 17th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. I’m so sorry to see the passing of Bill. I have fond memories of watching Monday Night Football at Mt Greylock Bowl. Always offered my deepest sympathies for him being a Giants fan! May you rest in peace Bill!
