Kenyon Brooks, 54

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Kenyon John Brooks, 54, of North Adams, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family who loved him very much. Kenyon was born in Bennington, Vermont on May 16, 1971. He was a son of the late Walter Brooks & Ramona (Crandall) Langlois.

Kenyon attended schools including Drury High School & Hoosac Valley High School. Kenyon was primarily employed in food service at Boston Seafood, McDonald’s, Aramark at MCLA, and most recently at Cavallero Plastic’s.

Kenyon was a devoted member of the Salvation Army where he was a Salvation Soldier. He also volunteered for many years at Berkshire Food Project and enjoyed ringing the bell at the Christmas Kettle for Salvation Army. He loved watching wrestling, drinking Mountain Dew, playing video games and using chapstick. He loved listening to music from bands such as Linkin Park and AC/DC among others.

Kenyon leaves his sons, Aaron Brooks of North Adams and Joshua Brooks of Adams. He also leaves a daughter, Brittany Brooks of North Adams, granddaughter Faith Alee Brooks of Adams, sister Tammy Forrest and her daughter Emma Hall and brothers, Walter Brooks, Daniel Brooks and Walter Otero. He also leaves the mother of his children, Marlene Alcombright. He also leaves many cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of life for Kenyon Brooks will take place in the Springtime. Donations may be made to the funeral home in care of Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.

Ken was a faithful patron of the North Adams Public Library for many years. He always had a smile and a gentle word for everyone. May he rest in peace.
