Jesse Lee Gray, 36

PITTSFIELD, Mass. —  Jesse Lee Gray, 36, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at his home.

Jesse was born on February 16, 1990, in Des Moines, Iowa, a beloved son of Carlene Renee (Gray) Lawrence and Stacy Michael Hall. He spent his early childhood years in Iowa before moving to Massachusetts, attending local schools in both states.

An industrious worker and skilled tradesman, Jesse worked as a boiler and oil tank removal technician for Brites Removal and Services LLC. He was known by his colleagues for his strong work ethic and technical skill in heavy extraction.

Jesse leaves behind his parents, Carlene Lawrence and step-father Todd Lawrence of Nebraska and Stacy Michael Hall of Iowa. He is survived by his cherished children: Alyssa Gray, Maddison Ellison, Devon Pond, and Haven Phillips-Gray. He also leaves his siblings, Stacy Gray, Claire Ryan (and her husband, Joe), and Charles Nichols (and his wife, Ruth); his grandmother, Mary Miller; his uncle, Carl Gray; his aunt, Anne Gray; stepchildren, Harmony, Shaylin & Kenai and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Jesse was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gene Gray, Tom Miller, and John Hall, as well as his cousins, Carter O’Neal, Bruce O’Neal, and Brandon Gray.

What’s understood doesn’t need to be explained! I am so sorry that this happened to you … I’m so sorry that your life was cut so short… we were best friends Jess, ? I remember when we used to swing that tire swing as high as we could, we almost hit those windows in the apartment on Dalton Ave haha… or the zip line we spent the summers rebuilding over and over just to go down the hill.. I say coloring books and crayons because that’s when you started drawing, and you had so much talent !! Almost 30 years of friendship… and I just can’t wrap my head around this!!
