Charles Rancatti

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Charles "Chuck" Rancatti, Jr., 88, of Adams, MA, passed away August 6, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center.  Born in North Adams on April 23, 1938, he was the son of Charles and Norma (Bunting) Rancatti.  He was educated in local schools and graduated from Drury High.  He was employed as an electrician with Pfizer and later Specialty Minerals for 32 years.  He was a veteran of the Marine Corp and also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Alert Hose Company for 28 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  

He leaves behind his wife, Margaret (La France) Rancatti; children, Robert Rancatti of Adams, Christine Suriner of Cranston, RI, and Karen Kettles and her husband Tim of Adams; a sister, Carol Fryc of North Adams; three grandchildren, Kristle Olds, Elizabeth Zipp and Regina Gray; as well as three great-grandchildren, Rachel, Alexis and Lillian.  He was predeceased by a son, William Rancatti, and a brother, Thomas Rancatti.

Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to The Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery-Cheshire Funeral Home, PO Box 445, Cheshire, MA  01225.
