NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Wallace Clayton Dolle, 93, of Stamford, VT, died Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the North Adams Commons. A son of Adolph Charles and Elsie (Hoellerich) Dolle, he was born on November 26, 1932, in North Adams, MA.

Wallace attended schools in Stamford, VT. Wallace proudly served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. For 89 years, he found his greatest happiness working on his farm, where he cherished the beauty of the outdoors and his connection with nature. He also worked at Morrison Berkshire, Inc. and at the Potvin sawmill in Stamford, Vermont.

A lifelong farmer, Wallace enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing and taking in the natural beauty that surrounded him. His love of the land and the outdoors remained an important part of his life throughout the years.

He is survived by his daughters, Beth Dolle (William Rancourt) of North Adams with whom he resided; and Caroline M. Dolle of North Adams; a son, Wallace Edmund Dolle (Jennifer Shears-Dolle) of Peru, MA; three grandchildren, Kevin Wade, James Dolle, and Oliver Shears; a sister, Alice Brown of Williamstown, MA; a brother, Carl Dolle (Shirley) of Stamford, VT; and nieces and nephews. Wallace was predeceased by his siblings, Charles Dolle and Doris Wood.

A graveside service for Wallace Dolle will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Southview Cemetery in the family plot. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4-7 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main Street, North Adams, MA.
