In Tyringham, she was an active member of the Union Church and the Hopbrook Club. A gardener and seamstress, she enjoyed antiques, reading and traveling. While in Berkshire County, she volunteered as a secretary for the Visiting Nurse Association and as a docent at Arrowhead, Herman Melville's home in Pittsfield. She and her husband were active in the Recording for the Blind and the Berkshire Historical Society. Her husband died in 1993, and she moved to Kimball Farms in Lenox, where she had resided for three years before moving to Cohoes, N.Y. She leaves a brother, Gene Francis Kuster of Slingerlands, N.Y. A memorial service is being planned for early July. For those who wish, memorial gifts may be made to the Richard C. Rockwell Scholarship Fund, which benefits programs and services for those affected with Alzheimer's Disease. Gifts may be sent to Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center, 421 West Columbia St., NY 12047.
