Frances Louise (Ayers) Miller

Frances Louise (Ayers) Miller, 91, formerly of 140 Cliff Street, North Adams, MA, died Thursday, March 15, 2001 at the Willowood Health Care Center, 25 Adams Road, Williamstown,MA, where she had resided since 1994. She was born in Burnside, New York on September 23, 1909, a daughter of the late David Ayers and Mary Elizabeth (Milligan) Ayers. She attended schools in Burnside, New York until the family moved to Readsboro, Vermont and she completed her education in Readsboro schools. She married Walter Miller on April 6, 1929 and moved to Conshohocken, Pennsylvania following her marriage. While residing there, she was employed at The Battery Factory of Conshohocken. Mr.Miller died on May 16, 1966 and she remained in Conshohocken until 1983 when she moved to North Adams, MA following her retirement. She was a former member of the Readsboro Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters Mrs. Hattie Ayers Yorke and Mrs. Ella Mae Landry both of Williamstown. MA, and nieces, nephews including her longtime care givers Agnes and David Yorke of North Adams and grandnieces and grandnephew. A sister Gertrude Ayers died in 1945. Funeral services will take place Sunday, March 18, 2001 at 3:00 P.M. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals-WEST CHAPELS 521 West Main Stret North Adams. Burial will take place in the family plot at Gulf Christian Cemetery, Upper Marion Township, Conshohocken, Pennsylvania in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are suggested for the Readsboro Baptist Church or any charity of the donor’s choice through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St North Adams, MA., 01247 which is in charge.
