James I. Sprowson Jr., 39
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — James I. "Butch" Sprowson Jr., 39, of 1904 Jemini Circle, Conway, S.C., a former resident of North Adams, died Tuesday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 19, 1964, son of James I. Sprowson Sr., of North Adams, and the late Gloria Ann Olney Sprowson, he attended schools in North Adams, including Drury High School and Charles H. McCann Technical School.
A self-employed carpenter and brick mason, Mr. Sprowson moved to Conway in 2001.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of North Adams.
Besides his father, he leaves a sister, Bonnie Cirullo of North Adams, and two brothers, Robert S. Sprowson and William H. Sprowson, both of North Adams; nieces, Kaley Cirullo and Kelsey Sprowson; nephews, Michael Cirullo Jr., William Cirullo and Jonathan Sprowson, and great-grandnephew Conner Cirullo.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for James I. "Butch" Sprowson Jr. will take place Monday at 7 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., with the Rev. Susan L. Stewart, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will take place Thursday at 1 at the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Lions Club through the funeral home.
