Thomas Robert Gillis

Thomas Robert Gillis, 53, of 81 Church Street, died Sunday evening at his home. Born in Lynn, MA. on Sept. 22, 1947, the son of Rose Molligi Gillis and the late Robert Gillis, he attended schools there and was a 1965 graduate of Lynn English High School. He was a veteran of the US Navy from 1965-68 and spent a year of that time in Vietnam where he was a Dental Technician. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Mr. Gillis worked briefly as a dental technician in Italy for a year and later practiced hypnotherapy in Long Island for ten years. After attending the International lnstitute of Reflexology he became a Certified Reflexologin, directed programs in Wellness and Self Discovery and also taught Yoga at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. He had resided in Lenox for the past five years. Besides his mother of Lenox, he is also survived by his beloved fiancee, Pragya Christine Waltermyer, with whom he made his home. Thomas R. Gillis was deeply loved and admired by his many friends at Kripalu and in the community. A Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday at 8 PM at the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 PM until the time of the service.
