Ronald Ernest Perras Jr

Ronald Ernest Perras Jr., 48, of 76 Beaver St. died Tuesday evening at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, where he had been admitted Aug. 9. Death followed a long illness. Born in North Adams on Jan. 29, 1955, son of Ronald E. Perras Sr. and Bertha Arlene Godfrey Perras of North Adams, he attended Brayton Elementary and McCann Technical schools. He moved to New Hampshire in 1991 and returned to North Adams in May. Mr. Perras had been employed by Olson Co. in Claremont, N.H., for 12 years. He also had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co., former Jarisch Paper Box Co. and H. Greenberg & Son, and the former Arnold Print Works and Waverly Fabrics in Adams. He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and enjoyed fishing. He and his wife, the former Barbara Schmidt, were married in 1971. Besides his parents, with whom he had been residing, and his wife, he leaves two sons, Ronald A. Perras of Greenfield and Joshua Perras of North Adams; three daughters, Neisa Lescarbeau and Jennifer Perras, both of North Adams, and Tasha Perras of Claremont; two brothers, Bruce Perras of Las Vegas and Timothy Perras of North Adams; a sister, Susan Coviello of Adams, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ronald Perras Jr. will take place Friday, Nov. 14, at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Thursday, from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Donations may be made to F.O.R.D. at BMC in care of the funeral home. Survivors include his companion, Robin German of Claremont, N.H.; a brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Eva Perras of Las Vegas; and a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Mark Coviello of Adams. A brother, Robert William Perras, died in 1964.
