Apolonia "Pauline" Mezzack

Apolonia "Pauline" Mezzack, 80, of Morningview Drive died Tuesday at home. Born in Pittsfield on March 20, 1923, daughter of Antoni and Regina Paratowska Szczepanski, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Mezzack was a homemaker and a communicant of Holy Family Church. Her husband, Joseph S. Mezzack, whom she married Feb. 19, 1960, died Aug. 2, 2000. She leaves two daughters, Christine P. Elliott of Wilmington, N.C., and Jamie M. Sullivan of Manchester, N.H.; six grandchildren, and a great-grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Apolonia "Pauline" Mezzack, who died Tuesday, Dec. 2, will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at 8:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Church celebrated by the Rev. Kishe V. Max, parochial vicar. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Mezzack may be made to the Kosciuszko Foundation in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
