Emma Florence Eastman, 94, of 249 Mohawk Forest Blvd. died yesterday at Williamstown Commons. Born in South Gardiner, Maine, on April 22, 1909, daughter of George and Mary Maynard Crossman, she attended schools there, including Gardiner High School. She moved to North Adams in 1948. Mrs. Eastman was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1971. While in Maine, she had worked in the shoe industry. Her husband, Lorenzo D. Eastman Sr., whom she married June 4, 1927, in Augusta, Maine, died April 16, 1975. She leaves two daughters, Mary Reinhold of Cheshire and Margaret Richardello of Adams; a son, James F. Eastman of North Adams; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Another son, Lorenzo D. Eastman Jr., is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE -- At Mrs. Emma F. Eastman's request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours. Burial will take place in the family plot in Mount Hope Cemetery, South Gardiner, Maine, at the convenience of the family. The omission of flowers is requested and any donations in her memory are suggested for the donor's choice through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a son-in-law, Alfred Richardello of Adams. She was predeceased by a son, Lorenzo D. Eastman Jr., and a brother, Walter Crossman.
